Peace Lab Kosovo 2021 zooming in and out

By Anne de Graaf

We're back! It's June, which means it's time for the one-month course Peace Lab Kosovo! For the next two weeks, we're visiting people in Kosovo (online). We are a class of ten students with backgrounds from: the Netherlands, Pakistan, Rwanda, Germany, Vietnam, the U.S., Mexico and Finland. This week and next week we are meeting with the UN, different NGOs, peacebuilders, politicians and a wide variety of people, including students. Peace Lab is where theory meets practice, as we explore the worlds of peacekeeping, peacemaking and peacebuilding. After a week of learning Balkan history, the students took an exam on Monday and now, are interacting with people from several communities: Serbian, Albanian, and Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian.

Please follow our blog as the students will be describing their own experiences and the projects they're working on. It's all about the journey, and this one promises to be full of unexpected gifts at unexpected times.
